Mayor Adam Gianato
Adam Gianato was elected Mayor of Kimball in July 2019 and took office on August 1, 2019, for a two-year term. In July 2021, he was re-elected for a four-year term due to amendment to the Town's Charter. Prior to being elected Mayor, he served as a member of the town council since 2009.
Adam is a lifelong resident of Kimball and the son of Jimmy Joe and Markella Gianato of Kimball. He is employed by the West Virginia Emergency Management Division as a communications technician. He serves as an Assistant Chief for the Kimball Fire Department. He is a member of the Kimball Rotary Club, McDowell County EDA Board, Region I Planning and Development Council and others.
He and his wife Becky have one son, James Matthew who is a student at Mt. View High School.
Mayor Gianato' s goals include modernizing the town government functions and police department, removing dilapidated buildings in town and improving the town infrastructure for water and sewer.
