The Kimball Town Council is elected every four years.
Council Persons are elected for Wards I , II, and III and two at-large members.

Councilperson Ward I: Tom Acosta. Tom is an award winning painter or pictures and murals. He is a McDowell County Native and now resides in Kimball. In addition to oil & water color paintings, Acosta has provided the region with a number of murals, including the largest one in the state, located in Welch. Other public art projects were completed in Princeton & Hinton. He is featured in the Emmy-nominated documentary "Hollow," and WV Public Broadcasting featured Acosta in a public service announcement about creativity called "Telling Our Story." , Tom is dedicated to helping the community in anyway he can.

Council Person Ward III:Markella Gianato- Markella is and life long resident of Kimball and the owner of Ya'Sou Restauraunt.
She is the daughter of the the late Tommy and Mary Balasis who owned West Virginia Grocery in Kimball for years.
She is married to Jimmy Gianato and they have one son- James Adam and one Grandson- James Matthew a student at Mt. View High School. She is a member of the Kimball Fire Department and Kimball Rotary Club. Her goals are to help revitalize the Town and make it a better place for its residents and visitors.

Council Person at Large: Anthony Baker:Whether he is sitting at the Kimball Town Council table, wearing his Kimball Fire Department uniform or driving a Shentel bucket truck, Anthony Baker is a man with a heart to serve his community.
“That’s the way I was raised,” Baker said, asserting modestly that what he does is nothing special. “My mom’s my inspiration. She taught us to ‘Do unto others as you want others to do unto you.’ That’s just what I’ve always done.”
Anthony is marrried to Tameka Baker and they reside in Norwood.
